My name is David Lee, but because as a boy I had long, white-blonde hair, my nickname is Snowy. What is left of my hair today is now cropped close to my head and far easier to manage!

I grew up in Ilkeston in  Derbyshire and still live there now in an end terrace house that was previously inhabited by miners and farmworkers and that was once a part of the local countryside before the urban sprawl took over.
